[92][93] In October 2022, it was announced that Halia Abdel-Meguid was brought on to write and executive produce the series. [94][95] Video games[edit] A Death Note video game developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo DS, titled Death Note: Kira Game (デスノート キラゲーム, Desu Nōto Kira Gēmu), was released on February 15, 2007. [96] Kira Game is a strategy game where the player takes on the role of Kira or L. These are just titles, as any character can be Kira or L. The player will attempt to deduce who their enemy is (Kira will try to uncover L's identity and vice versa). This will play out in three phases: investigation, where the player will discuss the case and clues with other characters; voting, where each member of the investigation team casts a vote on who they suspect is L or Kira based on the player's performance in the previous phase; L/Kira, where the player can either focus their investigation on one member to see if they are Kira (L part), or force a member off of the team (Kira part). [97] A sequel to the game, Death Note: Successors to L (デスノート Lを継ぐ者, Desu Nōto Eru o Tsugu Mono), was released in Japan on July 12, 2007. The storyline is based on the second part of the manga, featuring characters such as Mello and Near. [97] A third game, L the Prologue to Death Note -Spiraling Trap- (L the proLogue to DEATH NOTE -螺旋の罠-, L the proLogue to DEATH NOTE -Rasen no Wana-), was released for the Nintendo DS in Japan on February 7, 2008. [97][98] The player assumes the role of a rookie FBI agent who awakens in a strange hotel and attempts to escape with the help of L, who provides assistance via an in-game PDA. The story is set before the Kira investigation in the original series. If I have to take a gander, Ai is a walking trope (not meme) who does the near impossible, like getting to school without her glasses despite her house being just a stone's throw away, and in relation to those who really wear glasses for shortsightedness, she loses the perception of distance and has to sit very, VERY close to Kaede to say, borrow his textbook to read or see his face clearly, which obviously makes the eyecandy blush.
Sure, the good-natured, shy adolescent boy exhibits the "boy at the back of the class" trope who gets the girl, which in this case is Ai herself. He is always aware that even if Ai prepares her glasses before going out of her house, she's bound to forget them somehow, which doesn't surprise him all the more. This is always true in regard to their classmates, who notice their romantic shenanigans. One good example is Ren Azuma, the popular guy in school who is the epitome of a ladies' man. His Ikemen-style appearance and gentleness earn the favour and confessions of the girls (to which he'll kindly reject them), but what entices him more is that he's aware that Kaede is in love with her, so if the opportunities arise, he'll support them whenever necessary. This is why Ren Azuma is the likeable Ikemen wingman. Another example is one of Ai's classmates, Narumi Someya. The pigtail-haired girl, who always seems conscious of Kaede intentionally getting too close to her, is a jealous and attention-seeking girl. Otherwise, there's not really much going on with other characters, like mangaka Souichirou Yamamoto, who opts to just have the main Takagi-Nishikata couple on the front and centre line (with the Ashita wa Doyoubi girls as extras), but the investment into the support cast is just left out as such and only needed when the chance is called for.
There is no doubt that the main talking point about the show would be its production, handled by the infamy that is GoHands.
As Ippo began to lose balance from the body blows, Sanada used his Tsubame Gaeshi, but Ippo blocked the second uppercut by putting one of his hands between the attack and his jaw, still causing damage. As Sanada continued his attack, he noticed Ippo is at his limit and threw a right, making Ippo start to fall. Ippo barely managed to stop his fall by hanging onto the ropes. Ippo's light returned to his eyes and he released a punch that missed as the fourth round ended. Before Ippo headed out for the fifth round, he received a slap on the back by Kamogawa as a request. Ippo winning his first defence. Ippo dashed towards Sanada as the fifth round began and relentlessly attacked Sanada. Ippo then prepared to do his last attack as he did the Dempsey Roll motion, however, Sanada pushed his body onto Ippo's, stopping it. Ippo landed a liver blow as Sanada stepped in as he predicted Sanada would step-in to stop the motion. Ippo then hit Sanada with a Gazelle Punch. Continuing his knockout pattern he used against Sendō, Ippo used his Dempsey Roll on Sanada until Ippo ran out of energy.
