Nightcord at 25:00: Kanade Yoisaki has been homeschooled and becomes reclusive because of a trauma she sustained as a result of an incident in the past. She formed an underground music circle with her three online acquaintances Mafuyu Asahina, Ena Shinonome, and Mizuki Akiyama, communicating over a voice-chat platform named "Nightcord" and meeting at 25:00 (1AM). None of them knew each other's true names or identities, only knowing each other by online aliases and through voice chat. Kanade was pulled into the Empty SEKAI by Miku, who urged her to help save Mafuyu, the group's lyricist who had mysteriously disappeared a week prior. Characters[edit] This section needs expansion. Rather than choose sides and become embroiled in the so-called system wars, SNK chose once again to refocus its efforts on the arcade market, leaving other third parties, such as Romstar and Takara, to license and port SNK's future properties to the various home consoles of the time. The engineers at SNK had an idea on their hands that would revolutionize the arcade industry and could potentially mean millions upon millions of dollars in revenue for the company. That idea, stated simply, was the NeoGeo. NeoGeo in Arcades, NeoGeo in Homes (1989-1994) Sometime in 1988 SNK began toying with the idea of a modular video game cabinet for use in an arcade setting. Having become a model employee of a local fast-food restaurant, Sadao has to provide for his former generals Alciel and Lucifer who joined him in Japan, as well as avoid confrontations with Emi Yusa—the assumed name of Emilia—and the angels who monitor his actions.
Amidst a violent argument between Sadao and Emi, a dimensional portal suddenly appears, carrying a mysterious apple that harbors a toddler named Alas Ramus. To everyone's bewilderment, she imprints on Emi and Sadao, marking them as her parents! After Emi reluctantly agrees to help Sadao take care of Alas Ramus, their semblance of normal life is jeopardized by the appearance of the archangel Gabriel, who comes bearing bad news. He claims that he must take both Alas Ramus and Emi's sacred sword with him—lest the world be destroyed.
Unable to accept Gabriel's grim prophecies, the hero and the former Demon Lord need to put their differences aside and unite to protect what they hold dearest.

Too often in a romance/comedy anime the side characters are pushed to the side as a mere after thought.
