(JoJo EP), and Mad Love (JoJo album) JoJo performing on the I Am JoJo Tour in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 4, 2015 On July 30, 2013, it was reported that JoJo had filed a lawsuit against her labels Blackground Records and Da Family for "irreparable damages to her professional career". [80] She claimed that her 2004 contract with the labels should have expired in 2011, as she was a minor when it was signed and minors cannot sign contracts that last more than seven years under New York State law. [81][82] In December 2013 both of JoJo's and Blackground's attorneys agreed to drop the case as both parties came to an agreement outside court. [83] On January 14, 2014, it was announced that JoJo was released from her multi-year battle with the label and signed a new recording contract with Atlantic Records. [84] On February 14, she released an extended play, titled #LoveJo, featuring covers of three classic songs, which were all produced by Da Internz. [85] On March 16, 2014, she performed at SXSW.

I was expecting nothing special from this anime. After 10 episodes I loved it immediately. The story is your typical underdog story. But what stands out in this anime are the CHARACTERS. MY GOD I just love them. They're freaking hilarious. It's like I knew them personally. Most of the characters in the football team were properly developed. Even the bullies in the first few episode, I loved them in later episode. I sympathize with them when they're going through harsh times and I felt happy when they succeeded.
People who know football really well might be off put with unrealistic football game-play but still it's worth a watch just for the characters. — Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series, Episode 47 Things that are done in an art style similar to, or use tropes associated with, Japanese anime. Also called anime-influenced animation, Amerime or Americanime (if it's American), Franime (for French things), or faux-anime, animesque works come from a variety of sources. Some are simply non-Japanese creators deciding to mimic the style, while others are genuine co-productions. France and Canada are especially known for cooperating with Japanese producers in this way. In Japan itself, "anime" is a broad term for anything animated (being shorthand for the loanword "animation"), so technically, all of these examples are "anime" whether or not they are classic Japanese-style anime. Animesque art is a case of a 'full-circle' evolution, because the Japanese anime style was inspired by classical American theatrical animation of the 1930s and 1940s. For example, the big eyes of anime characters were taken straight from such works as Bambi and the old Fleischer shorts — think Betty Boop. The father of manga himself, Osamu Tezuka, was mainly inspired by the style of Carl Barks. This style was pretty prevalent in the early 2000s due to the international rise of the anime boom in media, with many following the trend. Nowadays, not so much, now that anime is pretty commonplace, though still a design choice for some. Note that this is about a work's art style, not its storytelling.
