They later discovered Hibiki and Kodama were behind the attacks, looking for a man with a scar on his chest who killed their father. Later, Boruto was roped into helping Kakashi with shopping errands. During which, they stumbled into a feud between old town and new city residents over fireworks displays. Sabure from the new city and Yubeshi from the old town wanted the dispute resolved so they could get married with their grandfathers in attendance. Boruto was committed to help
them, and secured Kakashi's assistance when Yubeshi promised him a rare first edition of an Icha Icha volume, with an extended ending. They discovered the origins of the feud, and Boruto tried to reconcile them by having them share a dango shortcake recipe the grandfathers came up with when they were in better terms, but in only highlighted the start of the dispute. Boruto was unsure when Kakashi arranged from the firework displays to be a competition between the two groups, but he secretly switched the fireworks, taking everyone's heart out of the rivalry, and allowing the two sides to make up. The next day, Boruto tended to Kakashi's hurting back while he took his time reading the first edition copy, sure that it would feature a happy ending, just like how Sabure and Yubeshi were making married. When Himawari commented that Kawaki was acting strange in the Academy, Boruto wondered if he was nervous for some reason.

Ragna suddenly senses and kills Ultimatia, only for time to stop as a dozen copies of her appear. member sent to manipulate Starlia into joining the church. Without Starlia the church refuses to offer sanctuary to the 600 civilians, unless Ragna replaces Starlia and becomes a Scourge. Furious at being manipulated Ragna refuses and instead forces them to
accept the civilians in exchange for him hunting Ultimatia. After this, Ragna follows a signal that leads him to a recovered Crimson. 19TBATBATBATBAFebruary 25, 2024 (2024-02-25) Crimson reveals his Globe Chamber repaired itself, so they teleport to the moon. Crimson plans to train Ragna for three years, but Ragna shares his belief Starlia survived. Crimson dismisses this and tries to manipulate Ragna into obeying, but he refuses. Ragna collapses as his refusal activates the poison Crimson gave him to prevent betrayal. Crimson plans to dissect him to salvage his Silverine Battle Arts but impossibly Ragna survives and calls out Crimson for his lack of commitment to his goal, pointing out he has survived countless deaths by hiding his heart away from his body like a coward.
