I can see why.
To be fair, the
show starts with a bang. The first third of the show rivals the GOATs of anime. Whenever the characters weren't cracking jokes,
they were beating each other up. I loved it.
But that's also its . biggest weakness. It sets
itself to such a high standard that it could never keep, and then crumbles beneath its own weight not too long after. A similar thing happened with Bakemonogatari, but at
least that one was short, and it collapsed as early as the third episode.
