Anime News Network's columnist Todd Ciolek attributes the soaring popularity of Code Geass to "the series hitting every important fan sector", with the audience appeal points ranging from a "complex cast of characters and a fast-paced story, told with Goro Taniguchi's capable direction" for "general-interest fans" to "pretty and just-a-little-broken heroes" for "yaoi-buying female fans". [85] Carl Kimlinger also finds that the series "has the skill and energy to carry viewers over the top with it, where they can spend a pleasurable few hours reveling in its melodramatic charms. "[86] He also adds that Taniguchi "executes the excesses of his series with care, skillfully intercutting events as Lelouch's plans come together (or fall apart) and using kinetic mecha combat". I've enjoyed other things by Kon, and I was really beginning to like this movie, however, by the end I had several problems with this film.
Perfect Blue tries way too hard to synchronize the psychosis of multiple characters, all the while being far too vague about filling the viewer in on this objective. The result being an overtly complex attempt at immersing the viewer in utter confusion. The movie .

Many anime skip this simple step that honestly gives out pure brownie points to viewers who consume the entire series.
Time to address the elephants in the room.
The second season of the Mushoku Tensei is arguably more polarizing than the first season. No, no, no, I’m not referring to polarization between the people that think Mushoku Tensei is fucking disgusting and the people who ignore those possibility disgusting elements to enjoy a nuanced narrative, I’m referring to polarization between people that liked the first season of Mushoku Tensei but can’t decide if the second season is amazing or dogshit. From the recommended tag, the 10/10 rating, or just the content of this review, you probably can ascertain my position on the matter, so I’m going to make an effort to defend it.
“The animation is worse and they clearly didn’t put in enough effort/ the production quality sucks!!”
Congratulations. You have officially downgraded from a Ferrari to a Ferrari that has driven 4 miles outside of the dealership. The animation is slightly worse in some spots and slightly less detailed than before in others. It’s not that noticeable, and I could only see it being jarring to viewers watching side by side with content from the first season. This is simply a consequence of Mushoku Tensei season 2’s existence. Season 1 was in production for 3 years; season 2 only had a year and a half. The transition is actually slightly jarring. Anything by the infamous "Winged Cloud", usually their visual novels are prefixed "Sakura". Everlasting Summer was developed by Russians, was originally written in the Russian language, and is primarily set in the former Soviet Union. But both the gameplay and character design seem straight out of a Japanese visual novel. Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk is a Russian-made visual novel with a very minimalistic pixelated style. Its sequel, milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk, begins with an animated intro that recaps the whole first game, and is rendered as an anime episode complete with a Japan-esque style (owing to Neon Genesis Evangelion and Serial Experiments Lain), yellow subtitles and odd camera angles.
