characters Baki Hanma is raised by his wealthy mother, Emi Akezawa, who also funds his training in the hopes that he can be a powerful warrior like his father, Yujiro Hanma. Around the start of the series, Baki outgrows traditional training and heads out to follow the path of his ruthless father's training and meets many powerful fighters along the way.
He comes up with the idea of sending him to Hokkaido, where some powerful five soldiers are located, telling him that he should experience the battlefield just like Yuujirou. Baki agrees to his proposal and decides to face those soldiers. Baki tied. Together with Strydum, he flies to Hokkaido, and then with the help of a parachute he lands in the place where those strong soldiers are located. A moment after landing he is attacked by them and tied to a tree. The five soldiers tell him that since he has already seen their faces, he should be killed. Eventually, however, they decide to use his body as food. The soldiers
want to leave him tied for a few days because this would get rid of all the feces and make his body taste better. However, in the night he manages to free himself from those
ties and starts to fight with each of the them. At first, he fights with Sanada, a soldier whose specialty is wielding a knife and aiming for the opponent's vital points. However, Baki overcomes him after a short fight.
Deciding to hold onto these memories, Shiro wins the game of chess and claims that Sora is indeed real. Shiro realizes that Stephanie and Jibril cannot recall what happened the day after Sora disappeared. After further investigation, Shiro recalls that Sora challenged Chlammy to a game of Othello, where the disks collectively
make up their existence. The wager is to manipulate the memories of their respective partners Shiro and Fiel. After Jibril detects magic in the royal chambers, Stephanie trips on two sets of three disks on the floor. Using Sora's three disks, Shiro places each of them on an invisible
uncheckered board, thereby winning the game of Othello and restoring Sora's existence.
