New Taipei City Events A couple huge events commonly associated with Taipei actually take place in New Taipei City. The Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival The Pingxi Lantern Festival is one of Taiwan’s most popular (and crowded!) events. This is when masses of sky lanterns are released at timed intervals – don’t confuse it with the many other events associated with Lantern Festival around Taiwan. The event usually takes place on the two Saturdays closest to Lantern Festival (the 15th day of the Lunar New Year). From January to March, you can see cherry blossoms at Wulai, Yangmingshan, and Tianyuan Temple in Tamsui. Also see tung blossoms in Tucheng in April to May, calla lilies in Yangmingshan in April, hydrangeas in Yangmingshan in May, and silvergrass in Yangmingshan and Caoling Historic Trail in November. Cherry blossoms at Tian Yuan Temple in Tamsui From early summer to mid-autumn, Fulong Beach hosts the impressive Fulong International Sand Sculpture Festival. Throughout the festival, you can see enormous and very impressive sand sculptures on the beach. Fulong also hosts the free Hohaiyan Rock Music Festival, usually sometime in August. From late November to early January, Christmasland takes places in Banqiao City Hall Plaza behind Banqiao Train Station. It is an over-the-top display of Christmas lights, with tunnels of lights, fake snow, concerts, and more.

Initial D: Perfect Shift Online - released in 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. A sequel was announced in 2015, however there has been no news since the initial announcement. Only one unreleased Initial D game is known to exist, Initial D EX. The game was reportedly in development for the Nintendo DS, however it was never released. There is evidence that suggests the game was a hoax. Sequel[] Initial D received a sequel in 2017 with the release of MF Ghost. The manga features several characters from the Initial D as minor characters, and follows Kanata Rivington, the student of Takumi Fujiwara. Kanata heads to Japan to compete in MFG, a racing competition, under the surname of his long-lost father, in an attempt to attract his attention. An anime adaptation released in October 2023. On the other hand, the adults in the series looks ambiguously alien-alike. In addition, the klaxosaurs looks like they were inspired by kaiju movies. And of course, there’s fan service. It’s one of the main selling factors of the show to attract an audience. The metaphoric suggestive positions of the pilots are like a visual innuendo.
The manga has been serialized in the Jump SQ magazine by Shueisha since April 2009, with individual chapters collected into 26 tankōbon volumes as of December 4, 2020. A one-shot also written and illustrated by Kazue Katō, entitled The Miyama-Uguisu Mansion Incident (宮山鶯邸事件 Miyama Uguisu Tei Jiken), inspired the Blue Exorcist manga, and was first featured in the September 2008 issue of Jump SQ. The series was first adapted into an anime television series by A-1 Pictures that broadcasted from April to October in 2011. A film was subsequently produced by the same studio, entitled BLUE EXORCIST THE MOVIE, which premiered in December 2012. In January 2017, a second season of the anime was released, covering the Kyoto Impure King arc of the manga. Viz Media licensed the manga for North American production, with the first volume being released on April 5, 2011.
