In fact, I believe that she's much more developed than the "main girl," Emilia, and is simply a superior character. The first few times that we see Rem, she humorously makes fun of Subaru with the assistance of her sister Ram. However as the story progresses, we get to learn so much more about Rem. I don't want to spoil any particular moments, but I will say that she has a badass yandere mode where she slaughters practically everything with her spiked mace in an epic fashion. Rem also develops feelings for Subaru, who she becomes admirably loyal to and saves numerous times, that lead to some really adorable moments between the two. Rem is also super cute and she just looks stunning, especially when she smiles. The sexy maid outfit is also a plus. Re:Zero really showcases a rare gem in Rem, who is the best anime character that I've seen in awhile.
Re:Zero also boasts a strong supporting cast. This group of characters includes the cute and sarcastic maid Ram, the adorable and magical loli Beatrice, and the utterly insane and slothful antagonist Betelgeuse. While obviously not as much as the lead cast, many of these characters receive adequate development and possess unique personality traits that make them more likable and entertaining to watch. When accessing the Kāma's power, Boruto becomes able to fight on par with Inners of Kara, who have monstrous might and various scientific enhancements. When activated, the mark stretches and expands to cover his entire arm and the right side of his face in a series of elegant lines. While doing so, it greatly boosts his physical parameters and lets Boruto absorb virtually any ninjutsu or chakra-based target, and can produce a dimensional portal to other realms. Originally, he could not access the mark willingly and it took a huge toll on his chakra, but was later taught how to more efficiently by Kawaki. Momoshiki possessing Boruto through his Kāma. Originally, the Kāma was a threat to Boruto: from the moment he was branded with it, his very being gradually was rewritten as Momoshiki so he could resurrect in Boruto's body. [50] When drained of enough chakra or knocked out, Boruto's Kāma will fully manifest Momoshiki's consciousness to take control of Boruto's body, gaining access to Boruto's knowledge and abilities in addition to his own. In this state, a flat horn protrudes from the right side of Boruto's forehead, curving up and back slightly. This also causes his right eye to become a Byakugan. Boruto's contact with Kawaki, who bears Isshiki's Kāma, created a resonance that accelerated the takeover rate of both vessels. After Isshiki's defeat, Boruto was given a special medicine developed by Amado to suppress the Kāma's progressing.
And this is where the troubles with Undead Girl Murder Farce begin, it just doesn’t have a unique selling point. It’s set in the XIX century Europe, except it’s not really the XIX century Europe, but rather The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen cinematic universe, with Sherlock Holmes, Jack the Ripper, Arsene Lupin and so on appearing as characters. Which has been done to death. There is also the fact that the supernatural in this universe exists in the open, as an organic part of society, but the story barely explores this aspect. The series just doesn’t really do all that much, and what it does, it doesn’t do very well. Nothing illustrates this better than putting the titles of all these shows next to each other:
Bakemonogatari - Ghostory - a pun and a factual description of the content.
Kyokou Suiri - Made-up Deductions - also a factual description of the content.
Undead Girl Murder Farce / Cube x Cursed x Curious - this is just trying too hard to advertise the expected quirkiness of the genre without any meaningful substance of its own. It’s shallow and derivative. Like, the word "farce" has an actual meaning, and there is nothing in the show that fits it, it is not a farcical show, using this word for the name is just pretentiousness.
The only well-made part of the story is the banter between the protagonists (which is the single easiest step of the formula to imitate, even Bunny Girl Senpai had decent banter).
