Evil is all throughout everyone, but you're not supposed to act on it. This is one of the message that I feel the movie tries to convey and I believe it's a wonderful lesson to everyone. The themes presented throughout this film are taken very seriously, so I don't think it will appeal to a younger audience, but I think older teenagers will be the perfect demographic here, for the lesson it's giving. In the end, A Silent Voice is a film that had me hating throughout the first act, realizing I was wrong throughout the second act, and on the verge of tears throughout the third act, due to how well this movie does a complete 180. With a powerful story, a final sequences that will have many in tears, and an overall film that is worthy of awards, I can't recommend this enough. That being said, I can't get myself to give this movie a perfect score, due to the fact that I think it took a little too long to win me over.

Near the end of the fight, Mikey and Draken arrive after learning from Hinata that Takemichi had been time-traveling to save them. When Takemichi confronts him, Kisaki confesses that his reason for taking over the Tokyo Manji Gang was to boost his social status and woo Hinata. Takemichi is no longer able to travel to the past through Naoto, but when he saves Mikey from jumping from a building, he suddenly travels 10 years into the past to 2008. Takemichi is now in high school and learns that since the Tokyo Manji Gang has been disbanded, there is currently a power struggle between Rokuhara Tandai, Brahman, and Mikey's new gang, the Kanto Manji Gang. Takemichi prevents Senju's death, but Draken is killed while protecting them. The Kanto Manji Gang wins and absorbs Rokuhara Tandai; meanwhile, Senju disbands Brahman in order to stop Mikey from killing Takemichi. When Takemichi confronts Mikey, Mikey reveals that he died in the original timeline and Shinichiro had traveled back in time to save him by stealing the ability from a homeless man who he murdered. In the present, Takemichi allows Mikey to succumb to his violent nature to fight him. The school that Desir once attended (and has to again) is the prestigious Hebrion Academy, the school for both nobles and commoners, split into Alpha and Beta classes, which is designed for students to receive the education best suited to their skill level, resulting in the best possible learning outcomes for all the students. But with that balance, soon came oppression between the two entities, because while the academy still placed the most skilled students in the Alpha Class, most of them were nobles who had been systematically trained from the beginning of their education, leaning the Alpha Class to an aristocratic, superiority-obsessed air to it. And in that sort of atmosphere, a commoner with the appropriate skills would sometimes rightly qualify for the Alpha Class but would always be pushed back into the Beta Class, which, other than the obvious difference of being the total opposite, was mostly composed of commoners who lacked any kind of support. Care and passion were not directed towards the students, as almost none of the lectures had proper professors assigned to them, making it extremely difficult for the commoners to reach their full potential.
But there is a silver lining for the Beta Class commoner students (as well as nobles) wanting to make it into the aristocrat-stinking Alpha Class: Hebrion Academy's traditional Ranking Tournament, which also acts as a sort of midterm exam for the students. It starts off with the typical 1-on-1 tournament phase, which slowly dwindles down to the Top 30 students, who would use the academy's specially tailored and crafted Shadow World (which typically would be reserved for evil creatures to envelop their enemies) that's laden as both a survival-of-the-fittest battle royale and a team mission in top of it to avoid that world's catastrophe, which would round up the Top 9 to receive the Single Ranker title, regardless of either commoner or noble status.
