Usually, though, the only way to check is to look inside the cartridge. The picture above is a legitimate SNK
circuit board. If the game was converted from an MVS game using a sacrificial AES cartridge, you'll often find ugly solder points and wires going from
chip to chip. Check the circuit board to see if the game title imprinted isn't what appears onscreen. Many times, the entire circuit board is manufactured from scratch--a counterfeit all the way. If you don't see the SNK logo on the board or SNK logos on the chips, it's probably a counterfeit. Take a look at the ROM chips used. SNK used
large ROM chips that fit into an entire chip slot. Most bootlegs use tiny ROM chips that occupy only the middle of the slot. Above all, if the cartridge looks like a mess inside, it's likely a bootleg. Jackpot.
