During the anime-original episodes of the Long Ring Long Land Arc, Nami wears a cropped yellow jersey with the number '73' on the top, and rollerskates. During the cooking contest with Sanji, she wears a low-cut black dress and put her hair in a bun and fastened some black hair clips on the right part of her bangs. During Movie 7, Nami wears a burgundy tank top with the word 'Gold' written across the chest, and beige jeans. When attending Ratchet's dinner, she wears a low cut red dress, gold earrings, a black choker, and does her hair in a bun. Later she is seen wearing a blue tank top, green shorts, and red boots. During the Ice Hunter Arc, Nami wears a light blue jacket. Later she wears a blue sweater, a pink parka, and a yellow beanie. During Movie 9, she wears a beige parka with red leggings, a pink scarf with matching gloves, and brown boots. During the Spa Island Arc, she wears a dark pink bikini.

The story in Made in Abyss tries to be this grand mystery with multiple intriguing plot lines, but fails at doing so. One of these seemingly important plot points only gets a half of the final episode dedicated to it, the other is a superficial motivation for the main character to go down the Abyss. So the plot ends up relying on the adventures of Riko and Reg, which I must say, are the "interesting" part of the show.
Made in Abyss builds a vast, colourful world that it ends up forgetting to explore. Something that I was wondering while watching this show is "Do other countries exist? Is there anything beyond the mountain-island on which the characters live?", a question to which I didn't get a reply. What does the show actually explore then? The Abyss? Sort of, up to a certain point at which the main characters stop at a layer which happens around episodes 8-9. Thing is, the show starts exploring the world it has built around episodes 3-4, so that's only 4-5 episodes of exploration, in an anime in which the story is held up by the adventures of the main characters. You're left with an empty shell of a promise you were given by the set-up episodes.
All in all, Mady in Abyss is a spark of originality and good ideas with nothing to back those ideas up.

Although I'm not a fan of the artstyle, which lowers my mark a tad bit, I must say that the art in Made in Abyss is great. The world is drawn beautifully and down in the Abyss we can witness variety filled scenery in the various levels of the aforementioned shaft. The anime spends an episode or two describing the royal selection and emphasizing its importance in relation to the characters only to practically drop it and hardly mention anything about it throughout the rest of the anime. There are some other similar occurrences present in Re:Zero as well. This resulted in the loss of plot points that could have made the anime more well rounded.

The character designs are very lovely. They are usually rather detailed, especially their facial expressions and features during moments when their faces are zoomed in on. Vibrant colors also help to bring the characters and scenery to life. Unfortunately, like many other shows in the industry, the animation dipped in quality as the anime progressed. The most notable example would be the fight scenes. Those showcased in the anime's initial episodes were highly detailed and well executed. However some of the later battles seemed more sloppy and not as well animated.
