Most of the side characters end up being one-note and stick to the same tropes, but there are some interesting side characters. There’s the aforementioned C. C. , who’s quite a mysterious girl that not much is known about (other than the fact that she eats a lot of Pizza Hut), but as the series progresses you slowly start to learn more about her. There’s also Kallen Stadfelt, a high school student who’s also a member of Lelouch’s resistance, the Black Knights. She’s a strong-willed character who has her own personal reasons for joining the resistance. There’s a handful of other unique characters in the series that I’m sure a lot of you will get to know and love.
I really like the narrative of the anime. Each episode usually ends with some kind of big moment or twist, that leaves you wanting more and to keep watching. It feels great to see what Lelouch has planned next, and what happens as a result of that. There are moments when he’ll suffer the consequences of his actions, and it’ll leave him questioning if he should continue down the path of rebellion or go back to his ordinary life.
