Ainzach pointed out hiring experienced adventurers could be problematic, so it would benefit Ainz to train amateurs. Ainz decided a fight in the coliseum would advertise to potential trainees so Ainzach set up a meeting with a fight promoter. Ainz met with Fluder to gather information and rewarded his loyalty with a book detailing the exact nature of souls. Meeting Osk the fight promotor Ainz takes an interest in a runecrafted sword from the Dwarven Kingdom. Osk arranged for Ainz to fight the Warrior King. Now, in the present, Ainz meets the Warrior King, a troll named Go-Gin who is quite intelligent.

A cult of personality surrounds Papa, the chairman of the APE, which all humans come to worship akin to a god. Now governing the remnants of civilization, APE leads humanity to abandon Earth's now desolate surface for the relative safety of mobile fortress-cities known as Plantations. Plot[edit] In a post-apocalyptic world, humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction by the constant threat of giant creatures known as klaxosaurs (叫竜, kyoryū), which are subdivided into at least four categories based on their size: "Conrad,"[d] "Mohorovičić,"[e] "Gutenberg,"[f] and "(Super) Lehmann. "[g] Parasites are raised to pilot giant mecha known as Franxx[h] (フランキス, Furankisu) in boy-girl pairs. A male parasite is termed a "stamen," and a female parasite is referred to as a "pistil" (the male and female reproductive parts of a flower, respectively). Parasites are artificially created and have short lifespans. A team of ten parasites is assigned to the experimental Squad 13 of Plantation 13. One of them, Hiro (Code:016), is a former pilot-candidate prodigy who can no longer synchronize with his partner, and they both fail to complete the training program. While skipping his squad's graduation ceremony, Hiro encounters Zero Two (Code:002), an elite Franxx pilot with klaxosaur blood, red horns, and an infamous reputation as the "Partner Killer. " It is rumored that Zero Two's partners are killed after pairing with her by the third time. Shortly after, a Klaxosaur attacks, disrupting Hiro's graduation ceremony and leaving Zero Two's partner killed in action.

It’s to survive in it. What will seduce the audience to this series’ theme ultimately come down its hallmark of creative realism. It manages to be exactly what it advertised from the start and in Thors’ words, make a “true warrior with no sword”. Reviewer’s Rating: 9 What did you think of this review? Have you ever experienced a work with an intriguing premise capable of appealing to you. being undermined by a plethora of flaws and handled half-heartedly?
Vinland Saga is such a case. I do not consider this to be a great anime, let alone the AoTY; for all (or actually, because of) my love of medieval history, I couldn’t resist reviewing this too ambitious-for-its-own-good work.
Note: this work may contain spoilers, at the final section for the plot. CJ Sheu Critics at Large View All Critic Reviews (118) Audience Reviews for Your Name Feb 05, 2018 Your Name is a weird film that attempts to mix anime with an out there concept. The film succeeds in being a beautifully developed film but the plot holes really hold this film up for me. The most obvious for me is the fact they never contact each other, even when they are switching bodies. I know my very first question would be, who the hell are you? The film is ambitious and it is a lot of fun narratively, not a lot of films these days would create something this unique. The success shows you the demand for original content in this Hollywood consuming world. I couldn't get past a lot the storyline failings but there is something here for the average film buff. 05-02-2018. Not bad for a romance centered on a body-swap. Show Less Show More Super Reviewer Apr 12, 2017 Finally making its way around the world, Your Name is a film that has been loved by the people of Japan back in 2016. After seeing this film on the big screen, I now see what all of the chatter was about.
To me, their appraoch to not just life, but also saving life is refreshing. Yuji He won't kill because he doesn't want to taint his soul. He doesn't want it to be an option in his mind versus not killing because it's wrong. It's selfish, and there's nothing wrong with that. His familial relationships are kinda loosely set up. As was pointed out in a comment, his SPOILERS SORRY grandpa died weird. The timing was off and there was a moment of forced emotion there but it played off well by setting up Yuji's transfer to Jujutsu Tech with nothing tying him down. Megumi He just wants to save people, but he does so unequally. He does it when he feels like it and lets his personal feelings affect him. He's so human. Also, the first five seconds of him looking for Sukuna's finger are what sold me on his personality.
