Let’s face it, most watch Rezero for the suffering porn and the waifus.
Speaking of waifus, we have many additions to Subaru’s harem. More maids for serving the supposed ‘normal MC’ and more witches that infodump at the same time they seduce the supposed ‘normal MC’. By the way, some of them are underage, because Japan. Did I mention the female ghosts? Subaru is so normal even ghosts want to have sex with him. And holy crap does the author treat women as objects or what? Every time he doesn’t know what do with a waifu, he knocks her unconscious so Subaru has to protect them.

i was the final boss

He joins an expedition racing team, Project D, formed by Ryosuke Takahashi (also including Keisuke Takahashi), former leader of the disbanded Red Suns, and challenges more difficult opponents on their home courses in the pursuit of his dream to be "the fastest driver out there". At one point, impostors in the form of Takumi and Keisuke try to defame Project D, Wataru comes to help and they dispatch the impostors, revealing them in front of the public. Also, while making tofu deliveries, Takumi is defeated by a mysterious Subaru Impreza WRX STI, but after finding out the driver is his father, he must learn the characteristics of 4WD in order to better himself. Project D races against teams like Team Seven Star Leaf, students and a graduated pro racer from Todo Racing School, Northern Saitama Alliance, a second Lancer Evolution team at Tsuchisaka who resort to cheating to win, Team Purple Shadow, Team 246, the Kanagawa Racing Alliance, Team Spiral, and Team Sidewinder. During this, Takumi falls in love with another girl named Mika Uehara, and Ryosuke deals with an old rival that he previously had a falling out with the latter's girlfriend who eventually committed suicide. The expedition of Project D ends spectacularly with a race between Takumi Fujiwara and Shinji Inui of Team Sidewinder, two evenly matched drivers, where Takumi blows his engine again, but steps on the clutch and wins the race by rolling backwards over the finish line. He then decides to put his AE86 on a complete rest from operating for the best (but in the anime he decommissioned the AE86 from racing but decides to keep it and slowly repair it with his own money). Ryosuke disbands Project D and later reveals the meaning of the Initial "D" and starts training other potential drivers under him to pursue his dream. Keisuke becomes a professional race car driver whereas Takumi continues delivering tofu in his father's Subaru Impreza. Eventually Takumi pursues rally racing as career and becomes a world champion legendary rally race car driver. The story of Initial D continued in another manga by Shuichi Shigeno, MF Ghost. ^ a b Hazra, Adriana (December 13, 2022). "[5] Tsukikawa stated that there was an initial idea to tell the story of YuYu Hakusho in three seasons, "But realistically, we didn't know how long that was going to take, so we ended up doing five episodes and just showing part of the long, epic story". [6] According to Sakamoto, the show took almost five years to complete; two years of pre-production, more than 10 months of filming, and another two years for post-production. [5] The show's creators revealed that because YuYu Hakusho's fantasy premise and supernatural action make it a VFX-heavy title, production companies were afraid to take on the project. [5] Even when Tsukikawa was brought on board, he thought it would be an impossible project to materialize. [5] Due to the large amount of VFX, eight such companies worldwide contributed to the show. [6] According to Morii, "Japanese creators have the vision and knowledge on how to do these VFX but they had no experience, so this was the first time they went through this top-class VFX process. "[6] Sakaguchi revealed that the Toguro brothers proved especially difficult as they had to integrate CGI with the two actors' real-life acting and facial expressions; "We could have done it differently, but it was very important for the director that the actors' performances drove everything in the show. "[6] Casting[edit] On casting, Morii said they looked for actors who could capture what was great about the characters in the original manga and in their script, "It doesn't necessarily mean that they need to look exactly like the characters. Instead, we tried to look for people who could portray and capture the essence of the characters. "[5] In July 2022, Netflix announced the series would star Takumi Kitamura as Yusuke Urameshi,[4] Shuhei Uesugi as Kazuma Kuwabara,[7] Jun Shison as Kurama,[8] and Kanata Hongō as Hiei. [9] Kitamura said he studied and took aspects from both the manga and anime, such as the way Yusuke walks and how much of a stride he has.
