Je l'ai dévoré en un rien de temps tellement j'étais prise dans l'histoire. Pourtant, ayant lu les mangas, je
connaissais déjà l'histoire mais la découvrir ou plutôt la redécouvrir, au
travers d'un roman c'est comme si je la
découvrais pour la première fois. C'est différent du manga mais en même temps c'est pareil. Vous voyez?
Dans ce roman, on va suivre une jeune fille de dix-sept ans, Mao Mao qui mène une vie dangereuse. forteresse coupée du monde extérieur où complots et machinations se succèdent, la jeune fille doit cacher ses connaissances bref, se fondre dans la masse. Mais quand les morts suspectes de princes nouveau-nés mettent la cour en émoi, la passion de Mao Mao pour son art reprend le dessus. À force d'observation, elle découvre le pot aux roses et se retrouve repérée par Jinshi, un mystérieux haut fonctionnaire à la beauté étrange. Devinant ses talents, il la promeut goûteuse personnelle d'une des favorites de l'empereur. Or, au beau milieu de ce nid de serpents, le moindre faux pas pourrait être fatal à la jeune fille
Commençons par l'intrigue, elle est tout simplement palpitante. Comme je l'ai dis un peu plus haut, on ne voit pas les pages défiler.
