First appearing on SNK's new Hyper 64 hardware, Wild Ambition is the only game in the series to have gone the 3D route. Despite this, it still played very much like a 2D game, only with polygon models instead of sprites. Unfortunately, much like Samurai Shodown Warriors Rage, Wild Ambition didn't find a receptive audience despite the move to next-generation graphics. Blame it on the slow gameplay or unbalanced characters, but fans didn't latch onto this game like they did Mark of the Wolves.
