The show features lots of disturbing subject matter, such as brainwashing, race violence, domestic abuse, and kidnapping, which are used to present powerful ethical questions and implications. There isn't much to discuss here without getting into spoilers. Just keep in mind that this is a slow burner that will reward your patience.
Overall:
Monster is an epic thriller that takes takes its time. It presents us with powerful ethical dilemmas that challenge out moral thinking. It has perhaps one of the greatest antagonists in anime history. I would strongly recommend this anime to everyone who loves crime stories and/or
suspenseful thrillers. Reviewer’s Rating: 10 What did you think of this review? • meandering episodic side-quests that add nothing to the story
• characters who do nothing but have panic attacks right before an important piece of information is about to be revealed
• a
villain who's adept at mind-control and getting people to kill themselves. because he has a way with words?
• all attempts to kill villain thwarted by characters that possess an inability to make actual plans and/or a (infuriatingly cliche) psychological or physical inability to kill someone
• sulking protagonist whose ultimate fate remains a point of indifference due to a lack of emotional investment.
Woodblock prints portraying the characters, designed by former shojo manga creator Tsubaki Anna, were shown at various points through the series. Nakazawa created the illustration use for sponsor announcements. [39] Scenario and art design[edit] Samurai Champloo was Obara's first time working on an anime series, and Watanabe attributed him with bringing a new style of narrative and pacing to the series. [5][8] Sato had worked with Watanabe before on Macross Plus. [8] He described the process of discussing plot concepts with Watanabe and building upon voiced ideas, treating his own contributions like sample discs that might be accepted or rejected. [40] The
script meetings were unusually long, beginning with the synopsis and ending up with the final form, alongside off-topic conversation that was sometimes incorporated into that episode's plot. [8] Due to Watanabe's reputation and the success of his projects in the West, the anime was created with a Western audience in mind with the expectation that it would be more successful outside Japan. This resulted in more overt references to Western culture being included. [41] An assassin character who appeared in the second episode was intended to appear during the finale, but he was cut due to time constraints and a general lack of people remembering his earlier appearance. [5] Nakazawa had trouble getting a feel for the characters, with Mugen's design still going through adjustments when production on the first episode began. For the animation of Mugen's fighting style, the team used gymnastic footage as a reference alongside incorporating
breakdancing moves.

The story lines are inspired by the real stories of former French spies who had to carry out their missions in different cities around the world. But these agents’ work is over: now that they have to come back to France, they’re completely detached from their former lives and they struggle to go “back to normal. ”I recommend this show if you want to get to know a bit more about the topic of jihadism and how it’s become a real problem in France in recent years. 18.
