will do whatever it takes to be the last man standing, whether it is morally good or not. Barou – a beast on the field, unstoppable rebellious force- also shares his way to victory. By realizing his mistakes, by finding someone better than him in the field where he should be the “king”, he shows us that, whatever stops him from going forward, he will devour. Haven’t we felt the same way? Whether it is at school or at work, we have always encountered someone better than us. And that really bothers the ego of most people. What do we do then? We get better, and better till we beat that specific person “Those who continue to fight in spite of their despair are bestowed with the power to achieve their dream”-Ego Jinpachi.
Although, we have seen a little from Kunigami, he also has something to say: “If our heads drop down now, we’re done for!”(my favorite quote). Failure is merely temporary and if you accept defeat then you stay knocked down instead of getting back up. Sometimes things don’t always go our way, so press on! Try again and again and learn from failure. Some characters can get you really hyped up, getting goose bumps from what they are saying, and that is the whole point. That is why I admire most of Blue Lock characters. Retrieved January 11, 2021. ^ a b c d e f g h i Nagaike 2010. ^ Thorn, Rachel. In my opinion, yes, Takemichi would be more interesting to watch if he was as strong as the others, but, at the same time, that's what makes them stand out, since Takemichi already has a very unique power, time traveling. So, I actually think it makes sense Takemichi is the way he is, because, in the end, he's not a gang member like the others, he's just someone who found himself trapped in that world and adjusts to it realistically. On the other hand, the other characters grew up in those environments, so it makes sense that their individualities are marked by their physical strenght.
Concluding my review, I liked watching the anime, even thought I don't consider it a masterpiece, it's very good. If you like animes that portray darker themes, such as crime and gang violence, but at the same time can give us some loving and funny moments, plus, also enjoy fight scenes without supernatural intervention, you'll probably enjoy this anime. Story wise it's fascinating. A person with a limited ability to time travel using that ability to change past events to protect loved ones in the modern day is a great concept when used correctly. The tight limitations of Takemichi's abilities are brilliant in terms of drama as there's no "reset button", if he fails in what he sets out to do then there's no do over which makes the sense of danger feel far more genuine.
The gang warfare elements are also well done. The tensions between organisations as well .
