Now let’s go into the actual good, ok, and bad of the anime: The Good: The first 5 or so episodes went at a nice pace and gave
much needed background info about heroes and villains. Had the rest of the series kept up with the pacing, storytelling, and action of those episodes with an occasional episode-long action packed, multiple-battle fiasco, it would have been a lot better. Some of the action scenes were cool and some of the techniques were
really unique. I actually thought it was very realistic that some of the characters died. These sad occurrences keep the thrill and intensity alive. Unfortunately, one of my favorite characters was killed off :’( The Ok: You get the usual anime things like characters who walk, talk, etc after getting multiple deadly blows. The Bad: The "main plot" was average at best. I honestly found it paper thin after the first 5 episodes. It also felt strung together by a lot of convenient fantasy. The MC stays generic. Most of the other characters are plastic molds and lacking any real depth.
In the first phase, Japan defeats Mexico 2–1, Uruguay 6–5 and Italy 4–0. In the quarterfinals, they beat Sweden 1–0 and Netherlands 1–0 in the semifinal. The Japanese win in the "Great Final" the World Youth Championship, defeating Brazil 3–2 after extra time
with Tsubasa scoring a hat-trick and the golden goal
despite the fact that Brazil used a new player at the extra time called Natureza, who became the third person to score a goal on Wakabayashi from outside the goal area – the first being Karl Heinz Schneider of Germany and second being Sho Shunko of China. Tsubasa moves from São Paulo to FC Barcelona[3] (FC Catalunya in the anime), in the Spanish Liga, after the end of the FIFA World Youth Championship final, taking his childhood friend and now wife, Sanae. He asked her out before moving to Brazil and the couple maintained a long-distance relationship before he proposed to her after the World Youth Championship. Road to 2002[edit] While Tsubasa moves from São Paulo (Brancos in the anime) to Barcelona[3] (Catalunya in the anime), Kojiro Hyuga is bought by Juventus F. C. (F. C. Piemonte in the anime). Tsubasa plays very well in training, displaying all his skills, but the Dutch coach Van Saal (Edward in the anime, inspired by Louis van Gaal, who coached Barcelona at the time) demotes him to FC Barcelona B,[3] the reserve team that plays in the second division, because Tsubasa and Rivaul (inspired by Rivaldo) cannot play together whilst Rivaul holds a key position for playmaking.
Ippo met Aikawa while there, and was surprised to
hear she watched him fight, but as ashamed to find out she watched the only three fights he lost in. After the party, Ippo walked Aikawa home. As they walked, Aikawa expressed her love to Ippo and wished to see Ippo win a match. Though Ippo reminded her that he retired, she asked if he had a reason to return, would he come back, however, Ippo had no answer. Ippo was handed a note
with her number and email address before she left. Ippo reflected on how he really hasn't changed at all despite wanting to be reborn when he became a boxer, and knew that he hasn't found his answer yet on how it feels to be strong.
