Written, directed, and edited by Ti West—a filmmaker best known for his horror flicks like The Sacrament and In a Valley of Violence—this new slasher from A24 premiered at the South by Southwest film festival earlier this week to rave reviews. Luckily, the public doesn’t have to wait long to get a taste of the gory, bloody madness, because just a few days after its festival premiere, X is coming to theaters. The X movie plot follows an adult film crew who arrive at a remote farmhouse in Texas to shoot a porno. Unfortunately, elderly owners of the farmhouse are, to put it mildly, creepy AF, and soon their voyeuristic interest in the crew takes on a new, far more dangerous tone. Also starring Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Kid Cudi, and Brittany Snow, X promises to be the next horror movie that everyone is talking about.
