As Kiyoshi declares that they themselves have won, Meiko catches on to their ruse and grabs Joe disguised as Gakuto, and Chiyo disguised under Joe's hood. Gakuto is thrown into the Chairman's room by the students. Then the boys explain that Chiyo sneaked in from the back door of the Corrections Office, where she met with Gakuto and Joe inside the bathroom, performing a three-way exchange with each other's clothes. Under disguise, Gakuto made his way to the Corrections Office, enduring his cut from the fork to have Joe disguised with the use of bandages. Gakuto hid himself outside while Mari and Meiko were patrolling. When Meiko expresses disbelief at how fast the DTO email would have been recovered, Gakuto tells her of the data restoration software being downloaded ahead of time during the arm wrestling match.

[12] However, it was such a popular series that online commentators said that, considering the series' final length, the editors may have insisted that Eyeshield 21 be kept going due to business reasons. However, Inagaki declared that the manga was "exactly how [he] wanted to tell the story" and that Murata also seconded it. [13] Media[edit] Manga[edit] Main article: List of Eyeshield 21 chapters The Eyeshield 21 manga series was written by Riichiro Inagaki, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, and originally serialized by Shueisha in the shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from July 23, 2002,[14][15] to June 15, 2009. [16][17] The manga consists of 333 chapters spanning 37 tankōbon (collected volumes), released from December 20, 2002,[18] to October 2, 2010. The first one, named The Phantom Golden Bowl[Jp 1], was developed by Production I. Wait no, in fact, I do know how - by needlessly stretching the non-existent plot for 30 minutes and showing us over and over again the same cutscene of the girl dying/MC screaming. They used her death scene so much that I even started laughing after a certain point.
I understand that they were trying to build up the characters to make us care about what was going to happen, but they completely failed at it, so it just became a drag
Voice acting 6/10
Nothing spectacular or noteworthy. Can say I laughed a bit after hearing 3 times in a row the dude scream due to the girl's death
Sound design and OST 6/10
Nothing spectacular or noteworthy
TL;DR
Overall, it's a super mediocre anime that struggled to get my attention and even getting to episode 7 was a chore. I'm sure you've realized by now since I've repeated this as many times as the anime repeated the poor girl's death scene, but the only thing I can say about this anime is that "It's nothing noteworthy". Especially if you've already seen a lot of anime and are aware of all the tropes/clichés Reviewer’s Rating: 6 What did you think of this review?
