You may have looked up at the title at this point and wondered “where do the maids fit into all of this?” Well, that same tyrannical president actually works as a maid. And one of the Chads just discovered this little fact. Grab some popcorn, it’s about to get messy. 20. Ascendance of a Bookworm If you don’t feel like getting into another world-domination/war plot setup, but still want that isekai sauce, then Ascendance of a Bookworm should suffice. The premise is honestly kind of unique in a way, it’s just about a girl who loved to read so much that she got reincarnated and just continued to love reading. However, she’s plopped into a fantasy world. So books aren’t all that regularly available, and she has to get really creative with how she’s going to get her fix. The show is pretty slice of life-y, but the execution is on point.

And yes this is the type of show where everyone fights about the best girl.

-This show for sure raised the bar and for sure is a must watch for those who enjoyed the first season, but speaking personally, mostly near the end, this series became something that i felt growing, the caracters, their struggles and everything arround them changed in this 23 episodes. I loved the ending and overall loved the series as a whole. This is not your average harem show with no plot at all, Saekano has a story and is really nicely executed.

The main girl isn't much better, her personality is just being a tsundere and is there only for sexual jokes.
Overall this anime fails at everything, as being a battle shonen by having an OP unlikable Main Character, as a comedy since every joke is about being sexual and taking advantage of the dumb tsundere main girl, as a story since there is none and damn if they try to make this a romance.
It has nothing of value, just an uninspiring and inconsiderate anime that I have no ideia how it got the popularity that is has, the fantasy of being forcefull towards random vunerable strangers is that strong. I mean, WHY is gainaxing actually a thing. WHY, GOD, WHY). It’s pervy, it’s deranged and it can be insane, but that’s also youth.
I feel very conflicted about it. But I also think that, in a way, you couldn't tell this story with a different spirit. A different approach, maybe? Certainly, since one can explore and free his innermost sexual spirit in a myriad different ways without being less nietzschean and being kinder to your surroundings.
1Mitsuo Iso was the key animator for this scene. That fact alone justifies the watching of the show.
