takes matters into her own hands and moves out. into a tent! Unfortunately for her, she pitches her new home on private land belonging to the mysterious Sohma clan, and it isn't long before the owners discover her secret. But, as Tohru quickly finds out when the family offers to take her in, the Sohmas have a secret of their own--when touched by the opposite sex, they turn into the animals of the Chinese Zodiac! But this curse has a history of abuse, isolation, ostracization, fear, and pain behind it, which has caused much suffering and broken many Sohmas.
It's got quite an ecchi profile.
Characters: The characters aren't particularly exciting, but while I'm a sucker for good characters, I don't think they're the point of this show. They're all right enough and they express the overall message well.
Although I probably can't rewatch this because it isn't my cup of tea, I still
felt that it was worth my time, which is not
something I can say for some other anime. People who are less forgiving of not-their-cup-of-tea anime should avoid this anime. It doesn't pretend to offer more.
