Does Not Dream Of/Bunny Girl series is based on light novels. There was an attempt to make a manga adaptation, but it didn’t sell too well. The Dreaming Girl movie covered Volumes 6-7 of the light novels. Bunny Girl Senpai: Movie 2 will cover only Volume 8, which shares the title of A Sister Venturing Out. Season 1 was focused on Mai and Sakuta’s initial meeting and how their relationship started. The movies are essentially the story arcs of the supporting characters, with the first movie being about Shouko. Movie 2 will revolve around Sakuta’s little sister, Kaede, who will
finally try breaking out of her shell. As you all know, Kaede’s Adolescence Syndrome caused her to develop amnesia after being bullied. The second movie shows her regaining the courage to go back to school, Sakuta’s high school, to be specific. Now Sakuta and the rest of his friends must do their best to ease Kaede’s transition into society. The next movie, Rascal Does Not Dream Of A Knapsack Kid, will cover Volume 9, which also shares its title.
