It was originally serialized in the shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion from 1991 to 1999 and collected into 42 tankōbon volumes by Akita Shoten. The story follows teenager Baki Hanma as he trains and tests his fighting skills against a variety of different opponents in deadly, no rules hand-to-hand combat. The series was followed by five sequels in the same magazine; Baki (バキ, officially romanized as New Grappler Baki: In Search of Our Strongest Hero), which was serialized from 1999 to 2005 and collected into 31 volumes, Baki Hanma (範馬刃牙, Hanma Baki, officially romanized as Baki: Son of Ogre), which was serialized from 2005 to 2012 and collected into 37 volumes, Baki-Dou (刃牙道, Baki Dō, lit. "Baki's Style"), which was serialized from 2014 to 2018 and collected into 22 volumes, a fifth series, also named Bakidou (バキ道) but with Baki's name written in katakana instead of kanji, serialized from 2018 to 2023 and collected into 17 volumes, and Baki Rahen (刃牙らへん, Baki Rahen, lit. "Baki and Others"), serialized from 2023.

She is even voiced by Sakura's Voice Actress Monica Riel in the English Dub. User reviews56ReviewReviewFeatured review7/10 Amusing predictable funAfter watching the first two episodes, I find it a guilty pleasure. The story is the common concept of a shy socially awkward person becoming friends with a good-looking popular person. The guy is a shy doll-maker and the girl wants to cosplay, so she recruits hm to make costumes for her. There are plenty of opportunities to show her body and for them to get embarrassed. The artwork is good and it has the potential to be very popular. Out of all the members, she is the most villainous as she seeks to kill the Brotherhood more than the others. Coqueline (Mishell in the English dub) Voiced by: Emmylou Homs (French); Cassandra Morris (English) Member to replace her father Osamodas. Dark Vlad Voiced by: Cyrille Monge (French); Ben Pronsky (English) Goultard's evil self, forcibly transformed by Adamai when he stole the Eliatrope Dofus. They kept him as a challenge to the heroes, since Elely is the one they desire to be their Iop God, not him. Black Bump Voiced by: Boris Rehlinger (French); Kaiji Tang (English) Member meant to replace his mother, Feca. Arpagone Voiced by: Cathy Diraison (French); Cindy Robinson (English) The only member who is not a demigod as she joined to help force her estranged husband, Ruel, to replace Enutrof. Dathura Voiced by: Geneviève Doang (Special), Celine Melloul (Season 3) (French); Fiona Clarke (Special), Cindy Robinson (Season 3) (English) Member, meant to replace her father, the god Sadida. This is the very same being whose actions caused Ogrest to become the living natural disaster he had been for centuries, a fact that fills her with guilt.
