With a setting within the realm of science fiction, the series wisely offers a world that seems entirely realistic considering our present time. Free from many of the elements that accompany science fiction in general—whether that be space aliens, giant robots, or laser guns—the series delegates itself towards presenting a world that is quite similar to our own albeit showcasing some technological advances. Certainly not as pristine a future we would see in other series or films, Cowboy Bebop decides to deliver a future that closely reflects that of our own time. This aspect of familiarity does wonders in terms of relating to the viewer, and it presents a world that certainly resembles our very own. "[128] Daryl Surat of Otaku USA, commenting on the series' appeal, said that it was "that rare breed of science-fiction: 'accessible'. Unlike many anime titles, viewers weren't expected to have knowledge of Japanese culture—character names, signs, and the like were primarily in English to begin with—or have seen any other anime series prior. "[129] Michelle Onley Pirkle, in her book Science Fiction Film, Television, and Adaptation: Across the Screens, said that "Cowboy Bebop is taking a new take on genre, not by creating unique images and sounds, but by playing 'freely' with, 'remixing', or adapting the images and sounds of other familiar genres in a dynamic way. "[130]: 164 Robert Baigent, writing for the Graduate Journal of Asia-Pacific Studies, said that the series' appeal likely stemmed from the trend in anime to emulate Western fiction. [27] Legacy[edit] In March 2009, the print and web editions of The Onion's The A. V. Club called Cowboy Bebop "rightly a huge hit", and listed it as a gateway series to understanding the medium of anime as a whole.

Fawesome This ad-supported streaming service is unique in its content is only available through its dedicated apps. And its app library is fairly limited. You can stream Fawesome’s 250+ titles on Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, using its Windows app or using an app for LG smart TVs. Fawsome has some excellent content available, despite inflexibility on how to watch it. Its multi-genre library includes major TV and movie hits, like Third Rock From the Sun and The Contract. No VPN is required as far as we can tell, but blocking may be imposed if you’re in a country known for blocking American content, such as China.

Animations: Here we come to one of the most controversial points of the season, if in the 1st season we had a coherent and constant technical quality for all the episodes, in this 2nd season there were some obvious problems in some episodes you were watching (ep 8,14, 18) while in others a change of style that sacrificed details to make the animations more fluid (ep 16,17), although Jujutsu kaisen 2 has many high points (ep 9,13,21), I can't help but be a little disappointed by the production of one of the most renowned anime of recent years, in the end the show was enjoyable to follow despite some inconsistencies and drops in the animation, but much more could have been done, this is mainly due to the terrible working conditions that Studio Mappa reserves its employees. Direction: Although a great job was done in producing this 2 season and there are some episodes that are really well managed from the direction point of view, others unfortunately lack real directorial coherence, mainly due to the problems that the mappa studio staff was facing at that time, it's a shame that they couldn't give us the best version they had in mind for jjk2, it's also said that they couldn't make ep 17 as they wanted due to time constraints and that it was only 30% complete Work. Sound: here we reach the lowest point of the 2nd season, although the ops and edings are very beautiful to listen to with the op "Specialz" which has become one of my favourites, the same cannot be said for the sound sector which was really disappointing especially in the Shibuya arc, there were some OSTs worthy of attention but for the most part it seemed like we were seeing an anime without sounds that didn't accompany the right moments during the narration of the story, for example the ep 9 despite being one of the best animated, as far as the OSTs are concerned it was completely wrong, having sometimes annoying soundtracks. Verdict: Jujutsu Kaisen 2, although from a production point of view it lacks in some aspects, it can still be said that overall it offers us good entertainment for one of the most loved parts of the story within the community, if you appreciated the 1st season, don't you will be disappointed by this 2 season in which the work reaches high points. KingTeensy Oct 31, 2023 9 Definietly the anime of the year. At first I wasn't sure if I want to watch the second season, however after forcing myself to do it I loved it. The visuals are amazing (probably the prettiest anime I ever seen), the soundtrack is amazing and the characters are also amazing. The only downside is that MAPPA animators are being worked to death and get no sleep, yet they still can pull off peak after peak. The anime defo lands in my top 5.
