[148] In English-speaking countries, Sailor
Moon developed a cult following among anime fans and male university students. [12] Patrick Drazen says the Internet was a new medium that fans used to communicate and
played a role in the popularity of Sailor Moon. [13]: 281 Fans could use the Internet to communicate about the series, organize campaigns to return Sailor Moon to U. S. broadcast, to share information about episodes that had not yet aired, or to write fan fiction. [149][150] Gemma Cox of Neo magazine said part of the series's allure was that fans communicated via the Internet about the differences between the dub and the original version. [151] Cultural impact and legacy[edit] With their dynamic heroines and action-oriented plots, many credit Sailor Moon for reinvigorating the magical girl genre. After its success, many similar magical girl series, including Magic Knight Rayearth, Wedding Peach, Nurse Angel Ririka SOS, Saint Tail, Cyber Team in Akihabara, Corrector Yui and Pretty Cure, emerged. [135]: 199 [152] Sailor Moon has been called "the biggest breakthrough" in English-dubbed anime until 1995, when it premiered on YTV,[13]: 10–11 and "the pinnacle of little kid shōjo anime". [153] Cultural anthropologist Rachel Thorn said that soon
after Sailor Moon, shōjo manga started appearing in book shops instead of fandom-dominated comic shops. [154] The series are credited as beginning a wider movement of girls taking up shōjo manga.
Follow Ippo as he grows as a person and as a professional boxer. You\'ll laugh, and you\'ll probably cry
here or there. The fact
that I don\'t even like boxing never came in to play. You\'ll probably find yourself doing some jabs here and there while watching the show too. It\'s that captivating.
The supporting characters are awesome.
Whether it's his compulsion for profiteroles, his ability to work out in any situation, or his poor performance in mathematics, everything is a pretext for a punchline.
The series doesn't make much effort to invest in suspension of disbelief and presents the most absurd climaxes and outcomes possible. Initially, we see Mash dealing with his problems in the Saitama style: with just one punch. As the episodes progress, the character's life becomes more challenging, and he needs to rely on other muscles to overcome his obstacles. The commitment with which the series embraces satire and the ridiculous surpasses the lack of complexity. It's already one of the best
surprises among the anime premieres this year, an unpretentious entertainment that only a good underdog can sometimes provide. Reviewer’s Rating: 7 What did you think of this review? So basically you have a OnePunchMan protagonist but with a brain size of a pea in a Harry Potter setting (you have your typical characters of Ron, Dumbledore, Draco and Lucius Malfoy, ect. your broom flying lesson, the house selection hat, quiddich, Hogwarts and everything else that's not original).
