Boruto and Kagura intercepted and engaged the Funato Clan after they rescued their leader Araumi Funato, but couldn't prevent them all from escaping. Regrouping with Team 7, Boruto told them of what occurred at the prison, and that the airship attack at the event was a diversion. Concerned for Team 5 who were who was in a mission in seas that the Funato was taking over, Team 7 procured a boat, and were joined by Kagura and his team of Buntan Kurosuki, Hebiichigo, and Kyohō Fuefuki Upon arriving at Dotō Island, Sarada and Mitsuki infiltrated the island. While waiting, a mobile fortress approached them, leading to Kagura instructing Boruto to investigate it along Buntan and Kawaki. In doing so, they discovered a massive, long-range, scientific ninja tool weapon. Boruto managed to radio Kagura and warned him about the Chakra Cannon, and in turn learned that Sarada's group going to their rendezvous would put them on the fortress's path. He decided they'd have to destroy the cannon themselves. Soon joined by Kagura's group, they were attacked by Tenma Funato, during which Boruto managed to use a crane to divert the cannon into destroying the fortress instead of the ship that Boruto's peers and Dotō Island's residents were onboard. Having escaped on a lifeboat, the two group reunited. The following morning, Taiki was discovered to have been murdered, leading to the shinobi having to investigate until they discovered it was Kobanza, who sacrificed his life to destroy the boat's engine. Boruto and Ikada bonding.

However, the last three episodes are actually incredible, almost enough for me to give this show a positive score. One long fight scene (minus a small break to wrap up Soul's character arc), and it's gorgeous. A bit of Evangelion-inspired diving into the mind, and it's just about perfect.
And that's my review. Very sparse on details, but that's because (1) the first seventeen episodes are so good that you should watch them blind (that's why I don't review stuff that I like), and (2) everything else was so boring that I couldn't pay attention. Watch the first third, don't bother with anything else.

Like san, it’s gender-neutral, but it holds a much higher degree of deference. As such, it’s often used to reflect social rank and tacked onto people like kings (“Bossu-sama,” like the king in Ranking of Kings), princesses (“hime-sama” – think Zelda), or god (“kami-sama,” like God Eneru in One Piece). In a true one-sentence summation of the vibe of Japanese customer service, it’s also often used to refer to guests in restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality situations (you’ll now notice “okyakusama” all the freaking time). Sensei Sensei literally means “teacher. ” As such, it’s a plain old noun, but it’s also an honorific. Watch any anime which takes place in a school, and you’ll notice students refer to their teachers not with san, but with sensei.
