When they revealed they'd have to live with Ada and Daemon, Boruto and Kawaki were unenthusiastic about it. Boruto wondered why she'd be interested in Kawaki, who was immune to her ability, leading Sumire to speculate she wanted a genuine experience rather than a compelled one.
Shikamaru further explained about her clairvoyance, and that Boruto was to act as a mediator between Kawaki and the siblings. The rest of the team would watch them from afar, including to report if Boruto was still acting as himself. Momoshiki's consciousness listened besides Boruto. As part of the setup, Boruto and Kawaki were to live in a large, expensive house with Ada. Kawaki argued with him over his cheery attitude. When Boruto heard a noise from where Konohamaru was, he was surprised by Daemon, who introduced himself as Ada's little brother. He attacked Boruto and Kawaki, knocking them both out. When he woke up, Ada apologised for the harsh greeting, Daemon wishing to make it clear he was stronger to discourage acting against Ada. Shikamaru contacted them through the comm system, asking if they've met.
Before dying,
Shin tells Ken that Raoh has taken Yuria captive and has headed to Cassandra, the City of Wailing Demons. Lin arrives at Cassandra along with Bat and Rei, where they witness Raoh's army marching through the streets. Lin sees Yuria being held by Raoh's men during the parade and decides to break into Raoh's dungeon later that night with Bat. The two meet Yuria in her cell and leave her with a plant grown from a seed Yuria gave to Ken before leaving. The plant catches Raoh's
attention and Yuria is immediately sentenced to a public execution the following morning. Rei challenges Raoh, but he proves to be no match for him.
