Dreaming Boy I feel isn't as grounded in philosophies or clashes there of and is more centered around the interactions of the characters. While that was also a big part of Oregairu and what made it even more amazing, Dreaming Boy just has a bigger emphasis on it and the romance it's trying to portray.
