from his imaginary sister's X/Twitter account. Chainsaw Man's story is bloody and bizarre, simultaneously following and shredding the shonen anime rulebook to make a
statement about its characters. The story stars the teenage boy Denji, who died at the hands of the zombie devil, only to fuse with his devil dog Pochita to become the mighty Chainsaw Man, ready for a new debt-free life. Makima scouted him to work for the Public Safety Commission as a devil hunter alongside the fiend Power, and ever since, Denji has been Makima's willing lapdog who fears no enemy, devil or human. However, those ordinary "monster hunter" vibes were slowly subverted with Makima's increasingly sinister behavior, threatening to disrupt Denji's new life in ways he's not ready for. Anime fans must keep an eye on Makima when and if she returns in another anime season. Anime-only fans are in for a wild ride if the anime resumes, since Chainsaw Man holds nothing sacred and will kill off characters and generously introduce wacky new ones at odd times, all to keep shonen fans off-balance in a dark, unpredictable world. The first season rapidly rotated through characters, ushering them in and killing them off again, heroes and villains alike. Himeno and Akane, for example, didn't survive Season 1, raising the possibility that vulnerable characters like the dandere Kobeni or Hirokazu Arai might be next. Whatever may happen, anime-only fans can be certain that uncertainty is the rule in Chainsaw Man, and Chainsaw Man Season 2 will keep up the anime's savagely subversive ways with shocking twists, weird characters, and much more.
The openings were epic and certainly set the mood of what was to come from the anime. "They're the prey, and we are the hunters!" The rest of the soundtrack in the anime was okayasgduyasgda AMAZING. How can one describe how amazing those German OSTs were. They fit in perfectly with the epicness of the anime, and certianly added tons of suspense to the 3-D maneuver gear action.
Of course, I may be over-thinking things, but the anime certainly included some themes
while creating this masterpiece of an anime. The aspect of being confined in an area, doing the same daily routine every day. People seek to be free, and to seek adventure. Watch for this. Another theme that the anime incorporated was that of the cycle of life. Humans, we steal animals away from their families, we kill them, we eat them. What's so different from us, and the titans? The feelings of not being at the top of the
food chain.
