But despite these comparisons, they both feel drastically different from one another. Both are completely different genres; Death Note is more of a psychological crime thriller, whereas Code Geass has more political themes as well as mecha battles. But that’s enough about Death Note, for now, we can talk about that anime another day.
Code Geass is full of awesome mech fights that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, but they aren’t even the main focus of the show! Half of the runtime is spent getting to know
Lelouch as a character, as well as his motives for his rebellion. He’s quite a complex character, but I find him quite relatable at times, even if he has supernatural powers. Going back to the Death Note comparison, I feel like Lelouch is more likeable than Light Yagami. With Lelouch, it feels like he has some level of
compassion (especially for his sister Nunally), whereas Light tends to be more self-centred. Lelouch is the most interesting character in the show, right next to Suzaku Kururugi, who seems to be “close friends” with Lelouch. Suzaku has completely different ideals of justice to him, and because of this, they end up unintentionally becoming rivals in a way. Both characters are on opposite sides, but they don’t know that they are, so it’s like they’re close but far at the same time.
Most of the side characters end up being one-note and stick to the same tropes, but there are some interesting side characters.
My Hero Academia, a generic fighting shonen that everybody overhyped because of the
pretty colors. I know what most of you will say. I am being an asshole because One Punch Man looks great. There is nothing wrong with pretty colors, if
they are adding to the context. A deconstruction like One Punch Man needs it because it elevates the jokes to new levels. That’s nice and all, but a deconstruction is not defined by how it looks.

After Ada asked for Sarada and Sumire to join them, wishing to talk to girls, Boruto watched them from afar, and later defeated Daemon in a video game. He heard Momoshiki's thoughts,
having identified Ada's entrancing ability, but was frustrated when Momoshiki refused to share details. Kawaki noticed his expression, and realising he was talking to Momoshiki, addressed Momoshiki himself, telling him to come out. Boruto tried to play it down, but Kawaki was determined. When Shikamaru convinced Kawaki to stop it, he left, and Boruto followed him, losing track of Kawaki when he shrank himself. Boruto could still sense his presence, but couldn't pinpoint his location, so Shikamaru had him accompany Ada, who wanted to go out.
