In Takamura's room in the venue, Ippo was tasked by Kamogawa to take Takamura to a taxi and send him home due to his injured right leg. Despite Takamura's complaints, Ippo carried him out of the venue to send him home. In a taxi, Ippo congratulated Takamura for his victory, believing that Takamura's wish to the shrine paid off, but Takamura claimed that if one has something to accomplish
with the rest of their life, the one who's going to grant the wishes isn't the Gods, but one's self, as the one who can do what they want to do is one's self. Ippo asked what Takamura means by that, however, the latter fell asleep.
