It was originally serialized in Kodansha's shōjo manga magazine Nakayoshi from 1991 to 1997; the 52 individual chapters were published in 18 volumes. The series follows the adventures of a schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino as she transforms into the eponymous character to search for a magical artifact, the "Legendary Silver Crystal" (「幻の銀水晶」, Maboroshi no Ginsuishō, lit. "Phantom Silver Crystal").

Adored and revered by both girls and boys, she maintains a secret friendship with Kurusugawa Himeko. However, the tranquility of the city is disrupted around Himemiya’s birthday, as an ancient curse takes hold. Both Chikane and Himeko play crucial roles in the unfolding events, holding the titles of Mikos (Priestesses) of the Sun and Moon. Behind Chikane’s perfection lies a hidden secret—a veiled desire that proves to be a double-edged sword. 29. Canaan Mino-san, a journalist, and Maria Osawa, a novice photographer, travel to Shanghai to cover a cultural event.

The idea that Saitama can finish foes in one punch adds the charm to the show, having Genos or another hero fight the monster to show their potential, then Saitama come in and finish the job. It's an interesting idea, and I personally really like it. Animation: This anime was brought to us by MadHouse, the same people who made animes like Death Parade, Hunter X Hunter, Hajime no Ippo, and more. The company did a fantastic job making intense fight scenes, beautiful backrounds, and nicely designed characters. Sound: I absolutely LOVE the opening theme to One Punch Man, easily falling under the category of my favorite anime theme songs of all time. The soundtrack is really enjoyable to listen to, and the voice actors did a fantastic job as well.
