[37] Cartoon Network's Adult Swim began airing Bleach in the United States on September 10, 2006. [38][39] Adult Swim stopped broadcasting episodes of the English adaptation on October 13, 2007, after airing the first 52 episodes of the series. It was replaced with another Viz Media series, Death Note, to provide Studiopolis more time to dub additional episodes of Bleach. [40] The series resumed airing on March 2, 2008,[41] but went back on hiatus on November 21, 2009, after the 167th episode. The series returned to the block with new episodes on August 28, 2010, replacing Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. [42] The anime joined the relaunched Toonami anime block, when it returned to Adult Swim on May 27, 2012.

Just don’t expect it to be deep or something. -Most supposed tactics are silly at best since they come down to a character having broken juchubruchu powers that nobody can defend against. -The characters will also have to explain their juchubruchu powers in the middle of the fight. On one hand it’s lame infodumping that stops the fights. On the other hand it’s a lame excuse for their juchubruchu abilities to work. That’s right, if their opponent doesn’t know what hit him, he won’t get affected by them.

The story might seem a little childish at first but as soon as the plot develops the (very) dark nature of the story becomes obvious. The characters are unique and incredibly well developed, with the show not being afraid of testing them psychologically in a way that not many animes are willing to. The fights are intense both physically and psychologically and as the Anime progresses they tend to become more violent and over the edge.
The soundtrack is beautiful. From the intense/epic classic orchestras to the guitar riffs, everything seems to fall into place. Even the show's "intros" and "outros" are very consistent and worth listening to.
All in all, this is the kind of Anime that a true fan of this Japanese art will not want to miss.
