Eventually, Yuujirou
himself also arrives by helicopter. Gaia also arrives with him, who is beaten and kneels in front of the Ogre in act of respect to him. It turns out that shortly before Yuujirou arrived, Gaia decided to attack the Ogre and fight him. Baki and Yuujirou's battle starts with a sudden earthquake. Baki's father stops it by hitting the ground, and then everyone is extremely astonished. Baki does his best in the battle, but it turns out that he has no chance at all. His attacks do not make any effect against Yuujirou, even
when he uses his Roll Kick trick. Nevertheless, the Ogre is very satisfied with his son's combat level. At some point, Baki's body is crushed into the ground and Yuujirou begins to bombard him with a series of blows to his face when the young fighter is lying unconscious. When he's almost killed by his own father, Emi enters the duel. For the first time, she
defends her son and attacks Yuujirou with her fist, stopping him from further attacks towards their son.
Wrath in particular was just an

that I wanted to rip apart and scream NO ONE CARES at. The explanation of how homunculi come to be in 03 is more scientifically probable, but if the anime had kept following the manga, it would have totally ruined the idea that is stated over and over in the manga: human transmutation is impossible. However, this show didn't follow the manga, so this explanation is acceptable in the context of this show's story. It doesn't really explain why the homunculi tend to work together, though.
And the villain, Dante. We don't know her motives (except maybe jealousy?) or her goals.
[164] Cartoon Network dropped the show from Toonami in March 2005 due to declining ratings. [49] Yu Yu Hakusho proved to be popular in the Philippines, where it was rerun several
times and managed to draw more viewers in the prime time slot than both local and foreign soap operas. [60][75][165] The animated series received a generally positive reception in North America. In January 2004, Yu Yu Hakusho was named the second best action-adventure anime by Anime Insider. [166] It was voted by the users of IGN as the
tenth best animated series of all time. [167] Critical reviews focused on the series' attempt at a versatile balance of narrative, character development, and action sequences.
