Plot[edit] In another world, a hero named Sir Shagrua Edith Lugrid is
about to finish off a powerful necromancer known as the Corpse God. However, the Corpse God uses a unique magic skill to reincarnate
himself into another world, and ends up in modern-day Shinjuku, in the body of a boy named Polka Shinoyama who just had his throat slit by an assassin. Thinking that this new world could provide the peaceful life he desired in the previous one, the Corpse God takes on Polka's identity and soon integrates himself in the Shinjuku underworld with assistance from a woman named Clarissa and her subordinates. Characters[edit] Polka Shinoyama (四乃山 ポルカ, Shinoyama Poruka) Voiced by: Yuki Sakakihara[2] (Japanese); Morgan Berry[3] (English) A 16 year old boy who was murdered by a hitman who turned out to be Misaki. His body now hosts an otherworldly necromancer known as the Corpse God, who seeks the peaceful life he was denied in his previous world. Though there are fewer sources of magic in this world, the Corpse God can use Polka's body to summon skeletons of varying size, speak with dead spirits, and revive a corpse as a zombie with enough preparation.
Fei (フェイ, Faye) and Li Ling (リーリン, Rīrin) Voiced by: Tsuyoshi Aoki[10] (Fei) and Hisako Tōjō[11] (Li Ling) (Japanese); Oscar Seung[7] (Fei) and Emi Lo[7] (Li Ling) (English) Former assassins employed by Ryoma at Bamboo Forest as security for the shop as
well as bodyguards if need be. Adventurer's Guild[edit] Miya (ミーヤ) Voiced by: Marika Kōno[3] (Japanese); Monica Rial (English) A female cat beastkin and rank B adventurer, she becomes Ryoma's first client after he becomes an adventurer
when he is tasked to clean her house, later becoming his friend. Worgan (ウォーガン) Voiced by: Tetsu Inada[12] (Japanese); Christopher Guerrero[13] (English) The master of the Adventurer's Guild's Gimul branch. He has an embarrassing past event involving being filthy, which he wants kept quiet. Welanna (ウェルアンナ, Ueruan'na) Voiced by: Yūki Hirose[12] (Japanese); Lauren Landa (English) A female wolf beastman and Miya's friend. Mizelia (ミゼリア, Mizeria) Voiced by: Yūki Takada[12] (Japanese); Amber Lee Connors (English) A female tiger beastman and Miya's friend. Cilia (シリア, Shiria) Voiced by: Yui Fukuo[12] (Japanese); Risa Mei[14] (English) A female rabbit beastman and Miya's friend. Others[edit] Tabuchi Kazuo (田淵) Voiced by: Makoto Furukawa[3] (Japanese); Derick Snow (English) Ryoma's co-worker during his previous life. Ryoma named the first slime he tamed in his honor, but the slime dies, leaving only its core.
