The casts are so talented because it is music to my ears. There is no girl who talks in a high pitched voice which is borderline annoying, even Remi talks in a normal way, I expected her to sound annoying. Dialogue delivery is definitely one of the thing I expect the anime to do well, since it doesn’t exist in manga. And Horimiya absolutely nailed it, starting from the conversations to how they
were executed, all of it.
In summary, Horimiya is a satisfying adaption. Many people
will find plenty of reasons to hate it, since even I admit that this isn't a perfect anime or something.
It was later acquired by Fujimi Shobo, who have published the series since December 2018 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kazuomi Minatogawa has been serialized on ASCII Media Works' Dengeki PlayStation Comic Web
website since December 2019, with its chapters collected into five tankōbon volumes as of August 2023. An anime television series adaptation produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by Millepensee aired from April to June 2023. A new anime project has been announced. Plot[edit] Yūya Tenjo is an overweight, short and meek middle school student who is bullied at school and tormented by his family, except for his grandfather who is the only person who cares for him. When his grandfather dies and leaves Yūya as the sole heir of his house, his parents expel him from home, and he is forced to live there alone. Inside his grandfather's house, Yūya discovers a portal to another world, where he obtains the power to change his life forever. Characters[edit] Yūya Tenjō (天上 優夜, Tenjō Yūya) Voiced by: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka[2] (Japanese); Lee George[3] (English) The main protagonist, he was tormented by both his classmates and his family for his ugliness and obesity, which are caused by some genetic deficiency. He inherits his grandfather's house, where he finds a portal to another world. After killing a powerful monster using the weapons he found in the house, Yūya grows stronger, taller and handsome, and obtains special powers by defeating enemies like in a video game. Because his previous isolation made him a loner and shut-in, he is both very self-conscious about his improvements and quite ignorant of the effects they - especially his new, improved looks and
charisma - have on his environment.
