A few of these things
might have been fine if the show was a comedy, but it’s not. It can’t claim to be a serious redemption story and still play most of
this shit off for shits and giggles.
Other characters don’t really have much to talk about; not yet anyway.
The visuals in Mushoku
Tensei are fantastic; the attention to detail evinces the care and work that Studio Bind put in while crafting the world. It’s got some stunning backgrounds, gorgeous colors and ambience to paint the world and characters. The art is the strongest
aspect of the show. My only real critique is the grainy art style which I’m not too fond of, but that’s just one minor complaint I have about the visuals. The animation is pretty fluent most of the time, and more importantly, the animators knew which moments to highlight and which they could put less work toward.
The OP playing while showing the ambience is one of the biggest props for Mushoku Tensei. It sets up the episode by giving us a feel of the area that most of the episode is going to be in.
Speaking of the OP, it’s pleasant to hear in itself.

In Hanyang, the pregnant women gathered by the Cho family begin to give birth, as it is revealed that the Queen Regent is not actually with child. The soldiers in Sangju prepare for the zombie attacks on their fortifications, but night passes without incident. As they prepare to leave and rest for the day, the infected begin to arrive, as Seo-bi realizes that the zombies are not actually nocturnal, and their activity was determined by temperature instead.
Meanwhile, Sora and company are
overwhelmed by Avent Heim's library. They decide to challenge all the Flügel to a game to enlist their help; the goal of the game is for Sora and Shiro to avoid capture by using Plum's flight magic and various katakana characters to materialize whatever they desire. Eluding capture, Sora and Shiro use the game to convince the head Flügel, Azril, to have Avent Heim join the Commonwealth of Elkia. After winning, Avent Heim's library proves to be fruitless but Shiro deduces what the queen desires; at the same time, Stephanie and Izuna finds evidence to support her theory. Returning to Laila's dream, Sora's immunity to the queen's seduction fulfills her desire of unrequited love and awakens her; their victory gives them rule over the Sirens and Dhampirs. That night, Plum reveals humanity also acquired the sirens'
