And the name of that show is. Dragon Ball, back when Goku was a kid. The reason Toriyama
eventually dropped the parody and turned it into a fighting shonen was because he realized the joke of an unbeatable protagonist got old very fast. So, fast forward a few decades and a satire of superheroes came out, in a way that had never been
done before. It was about an unemployed and bored of his own life superhero, casually defeating any monster that attacked him. And the name of that anime was. Tentai Senshi Sunred, a very fun and self-aware plotless comedy that even bothered to make the main villains seem like sympathetic fellows, instead of generic monsters of the week that get blown up in a few seconds.
However, later episodes reveal that not
everyone in The Siblings fully trusts their leader and some begin to
move on their own. Oropo Voiced by: Franck Lorrain (French); Christopher Corey Smith (English) The mysterious leader who appears in a large cloak with an owl-like mask who is the main antagonist of season 3 and the central villain of the series overall. Oropo believed that the current gods are lazy and selfish, and wants to usurp them alongside The Siblings. Oropo is very calm and persuasive individual, able to win others to his side with these traits. He claims to hate violence and chaos, and is lenient on others despite what he considers flaws in their personalities. He also follows the principles of the end justifying the means, and that sacrifice is necessary for change.
In the live-action film, the couple are also expecting. Teruo Tendo (天道 照夫, Tendō Teruo) Voiced by:
Hiroyuki Kinoshita[9] (Japanese); Rick Zieff[9] (English) Teruo is Akira's father and a farmer. A no-nonsense, hardworking man, he routinely, if unintentionally, acts coldly to Akira, leading them to not get along that well. Despite this, Teruo occasionally shows some warmth and idealism (eventually revealing his childhood dream was to become an astronaut and experience the overview effect), and is fiercely loyal to their village. He suffers from various health problems, including
back pain, lung problems, and hemorrhoids. This initially causes himself and others to think he is infected, though this later proves to not be the case. Getting Teruo to take hemorrhoid surgery becomes #40 on the bucket list. Akiko Tendo (天道 明子, Tendō Akiko) Voiced by: Yuuko Sasaki[9] (Japanese); Jill Remez[9] (English) Akiko is Akira's mother and Teruo's wife. She is generally more kind-hearted and conciliatory than her husband. Antagonists[edit] Gonzou Kosugi (小杉 権蔵, Kosugi Gonzō) Voiced by: Kenta Miyake[9] (Japanese); Jamieson Price[9] (English) Portrayed by: Kazuki Kitamura[7] Gonzou is Akira's former team leader at his old company. A sadistic and gleefully abusive bully, Gonzou takes every single opportunity he can to yell at his coworkers, even contradicting himself when they do exactly what he asked of them, and give himself a cult of personality where they feel they can only survive by relying on him, all while he does absolutely no work in return.
