Suzume realizes the young girl is herself, from 12 years ago. Suzume decides to give her young self the childhood chair that was given to her, by her mother as a birthday present. She assures her young self the chair will provide her with the strength to overcome the tragedy and continue to grow. The young Suzume becomes energized and decides to leave the Ever-After and return (in the past), leading to her being found by Tamaki twelve years prior. Suzume and Souta leave the Ever-After themselves (to the present), with Souta returning to Tokyo, while Suzume and Tamaki return to Kyushu, revisiting the friends Suzume made along the way. Sometime later, back in her hometown in Kyushu, Suzume makes her way to school. To her surprise, she runs into Souta again, at the same location where they first met. The stranded catamaran Hamayuri [ja] in this aerial image taken in Ōtsuchi, Iwate became the prototype of the stranded vessel appearing in the afterlife scene. Makoto Shinkai conceived the idea for Suzume while he was traveling around Japan to give talks about his past works. Unfortunately, it was an island where criminals would be exiled to, forcing the three of them to grow up only knowing a world of crime. It is revealed that Mugen was sentenced to death for a crime he committed, and he jumped in the ocean while Mukuro and Koza watched. Mukuro forces Mugen to join him on a job after winning a bet against Mugen. The job is to steal gold from a government ship, and Mukuro secretly reveals to Koza that he plans to kill Mugen to tie off loose ends. While Mugen is fighting the government officials, Mukuro blows up the ship. 14"Misguided Miscreants (Part 2)"
Transliteration: "Dark Night's Road 2 / An'ya Kōro sono ni" (Japanese: 暗夜行路 其之弐)Shūkō Murase[43]Shinji Obara[43]September 2, 2004 (2004-09-02)November 26, 2005 Koza asks Jin to kill Mukuro to avenge Mugen, and Fuu finds Mugen's body near the shore. Meanwhile, Mukuro and his associate Shiren are discussing matters in a hidden area that they plan to use until it is safe to escape, and Mukuro comments on his efforts to hook up Shiren with Koza. While Mukuro introduces Koza to Shiren, Jin appears and kills Mukuro in revenge for Mugen, since he believes himself the only one worthy to kill Mugen. However, Jin realizes that Koza tricked him, and while trying to find her he sees a weakened Mugen. Mugen confronts Shiren and Koza, and effortlessly kills Shiren. Mugen realizes that Koza is deeply lonely, and instead of killing her just ignores her, walking past and leaving her to her life without anyone who cares about her or even the gold that the gang stole.
The character designs from Zoobles seem to be at least slightly influenced by stuff like My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Littlest Pet Shop (2012), which themselves are very animesque. Many of Nippon Animation's works, like World Masterpiece Theater and Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics are drawn in a way that's more reminescent of Western Animation than Anime. The same applies for Around the World with Willy Fog and Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds, though both were co-produced with a Spanish animation studio. La Quinta Camera, faces in particular. My Hero Academia takes a lot of inspiration from American superhero comics. All-Might in his hero-mode especially looks like someone straight out of The Silver Age of Comic Books. The Osamu Tezuka short "Legend of the Forest" uses several different Western Animation styles as the decades pass, first a Winsor McCay style, then a 1930's rubber hose cartoon, a Fleischer Bros/Looney Tunes style, a Disney-esque style, a Fleischer Bros Superman style, and finally a UPA style. Dawn of the Seeker, which was an actual Japanese animated movie commissioned and written by a Canadian video game studio, producing a very Western-looking anime. This Pokétoon short is done in the style of Golden Age cartoons. Kodomomuke anime have very simplified art styles to the point where some would get mistaken for western children's cartoons due to lack of "telltale" anime traits. Many of them are adapted from Japanese children's books, which generally tend to be of the same art styles that can be found in the west.
