This can be hard to keep track of, but the show will repeat information plenty of times to make sure the viewer doesn't fall too far behind. The show features lots of disturbing subject matter, such as brainwashing, race violence, domestic abuse, and kidnapping, which are used to present powerful ethical questions and implications. There isn't much to discuss here without getting into spoilers. Just keep in mind that this is a slow burner that will reward your patience.
Overall:
Monster is an epic thriller that takes takes its time. It presents us with powerful ethical dilemmas that challenge out moral thinking. It has perhaps one of the greatest antagonists in anime history. I would strongly recommend this anime to everyone who loves crime stories and/or suspenseful thrillers. Out of the blue, he is transported to the Elfrieden Kingdom, a small ailing country in another world, to be a "hero. " An ongoing war with the demon army has put the entire world in peril, and Kazuya was summoned to aid in the conflict as an offering from Elfrieden to its allies. Dissatisfied with being used as tribute, Kazuya decides to help the kingdom revamp its declining economy—not by way of adventuring or war, but through administrative reform. Abruptly declared the King of Elfrieden and betrothed to the princess, the "Realist Hero" Kazuya sets out to assemble a group of talented citizens who will assist him in his bureaucratic battles to get the kingdom back on its feet. [3] In 2014, Viz Media announced plans to release the series in both Blu-ray Disc and DVD format, with the first set released on November 11, 2014. [57] In addition, the first twenty-three episodes of their redub premiered on the streaming sites, Hulu and Neon Alley, beginning September 5, 2014. [59][60] The last part of the anime series was released on November 12, 2019. Films[edit] During the series' broadcast run, three theatrical animated Sailor Moon films were produced: Sailor Moon R: The Movie (1993), Sailor Moon S: The Movie (1994), and Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie (1995). [61][62][63] The films were released in December to line up with the winter vacations of Japanese schools. They were typically double features paired up with other anime films, and were thus usually an hour or less in length. Each film features an original story that takes place during the season it is based on.
