Silent Hill is frequently mistaken for an American franchise due to the American setting and realistic graphics, and takes a lot of

The Castlevania series is obviously influenced and centered around the lore of Dracula and set in Gothic European settings. Most of if not all of the characters are English and Japanese influence is extremely rare outside of visual effects and artstyle, with few exceptions like Rondo of Blood and Portrait of Ruin. The arcade baseball game M. V. P. , which was made by Sega, used a Franco-Belgian art style for its character design.
