A boy named Sho/Shawn tells the audience he still remembers the week in summer he spent at his mother's childhood home with his maternal great aunt, Sadako/Jessica, and the house maid, Haru. When Sho/Shawn arrives at the house on the first day, he sees a cat, Niya/Nina, trying to attack something in the bushes but it soon gives up after it is attacked by a crow.

In the present, Polka is shocked to discover that his actions really killed Misaki, as there are no mages or recovery potions in this world. Meanwhile, Takumi feeds his drone camera data to his client, Lisa Kuraki, who struggles to comprehend how Polka is still alive and using supernatural powers. While dead, Misaki sees images of her life flashing before her eyes, including seeing her family murdered by a hitman, and later becoming a "killer of killers" herself to get revenge as well as to see if the act itself was fun. After taking revenge on the man who killed her family, she decides to take on the job of killing a seemingly innocent boy named Polka to prove that she could do so, and easily did. Misaki then planned to jump off a roof with nothing left, until Takumi told her that Polka wasn't dead, leading her to try to finish the job. Polka brings Misaki back as a type of zombie, but before she wakes up, overhears Lisa mention an unlicensed nursery that caught on fire.

<ahem> “So, where are the goblins?” — Goblin Slayer
The genius of Goblin Slayer comes from its uninhibited objective to underscore the savagery of the goblins; thereby, forcing the audience to immediately empathize with the lowly adventurers who’s virginities will be forever lost to those disgusting green chodes. The first episode may have been a bit overwhelming, but it was necessary to highlight the evil nature of the goblins. And boy, were they ever evil. But when all hope seemed lost, the vigilante known as Goblin . Slayer entered the proverbial arena, to lay-the-smack-down on all their candy asses. And layeth-the-smack-down he did. Essentially, if you think about, he’s the Japanese equivalent of Batman — mother f—king BATMAN, people — set in a medieval world. It translates to "Is the music first?". ConnectionsFeatured in Masters of Fantasy: The Anime Filmmakers (1998)User reviews23ReviewReviewFeatured review10/10 hilariousSimply put, there are two parts of this series that made me cry till my eyes fell out. First: The part where he was set to wash the toilet, but ended up drinking the toilet water while imagining it was the hot director giving him a golden shower!!! (I laughed so hard!)
Second: The part where he tried to prove worthy of a swimming school instructor. He seemed like a pro diving in, but as expected, he couldn't swim (proper at least^^). However the funny part of this was when he finally reached the end and said "how was that" or something. That was so friggin hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing.
If you get the chance to see this anime series, I strongly recommend it. One of the best I've seen.
