They learned that the seal containing Kurama was stopping Urashiki from stealing the demon's chakra, leading to
Jiraiya placing a seal on the pair to protect them. Upon finding Naruto, Urashiki's actions forced the boy into his Version 1 state, leading to Naruto accidentally attacking Boruto while Urashiki fled. After Naruto regained consciousness, Jiraiya began taring the pair of genin. Instructing Boruto and Naruto on how to synchronise their chakra for the goal of developing a unique new cooperation ninjutsu, the task was too difficult for them. Boruto talking
with Neji. Returning to the village alone, he encountered his relative Neji Hyūga, who cheered Boruto up after talking about Naruto's struggles. The following day, Naruto and Boruto made amends with each other and began resuming their training. While they began making progress, completing the task still proved difficult. They were then approached again by Urashiki, who began toying with them with his various stolen techniques before subduing them. Deciding the foe's newest technique was too dangerous, Sasuke tackled himself and Urashiki over the ledge and into a river to let his
allies escape. While tending to Jiraiya's wounds, the group tried to figure out how to deal with Urashiki.
The story follows Shoyo Hinata, a boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his small stature. An anime
television series adaptation produced by Production I. G, aired on MBS from April to September 2014, with 25 episodes. A second season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, with 25 episodes. A
third season aired from October to December 2016, with 10 episodes. A fourth season was announced during the Jump Festa '19 and was released in two split cours from January to December 2020, with 25 episodes.
And that’s what makes Vinland Saga so meaningful. Character
deaths are impactful and causes people to change as in the way it’s meant to. I can honestly say from heart that character evolution in Vinland Saga is one of the core fundamentals of the series. It’s not just about evolving characters either but showing the reality of death. It’s a clever way to avoid character assassination by changing their personalities through events. As I watched more of the show, it becomes more and more intriguing to understand each one. Unfortunately, a 2-cour adaptation does limit the potential of
full character development. There’s much more to be found in the manga but that’s for another story.
If I said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times. Vinland Saga contains a cruel world and filled with moments of despair, emotions, and conviction driven by action. If you’re here to see fan service, it’s served with bloodshed and body horror, not half naked women.
