The art's good enough--not my favorite, and rather lazy and repetitive in many places--but passable. (Although of course Takaya-sensei can draw way better than I can. ) But overall the series is an offensive, tedious slog.
I made it all the way to the end hoping there would finally be some questions answered, or that the inevitable happy end would be earned somehow.

anime romance school life triangle amoureux

After reviving through Nen, Hisoka starts killing off the Phantom Troupe members one by one, who have boarded Kakin's ship to the Dark Continent to rob it. Aboard the ship, Nasubi, the king of Kakin, starts a battle to the death between his heirs to decide his successor. Kurapika, who also infiltrated the ship with other Hunters, takes part in the succession war as the bodyguard of Fourteenth Prince Wobble, Kakin's youngest prince and a toddler. Kurapika's personal objective, however, is to retrieve the last batch of scarlet eyes from the Kurta Clan in custody of Tserriednich, Kakin's Fourth Prince. Production[edit] Author Yoshihiro Togashi explained that one of his hobbies was collecting objects of all sorts, so he was inspired to create a manga involving collecting titled "(something) Hunter". [17] He came up with the final name Hunter × Hunter while watching the television variety show Downtown, in which the hosts often repeat what they say to make the audience laugh. [17] The "×" in the title is silent. [4][18][19] As with his previous series, YuYu Hakusho, Togashi used drafting ink and Kabura pens for his illustrations but began using an eMac to color them. [20] Togashi uses few or no assistants in the manga's production;[21] however, fellow manga artist and future wife Naoko Takeuchi assisted Togashi in adding screentone to single-color pages for the first volume. [22][23] With the birth of their first son early in its publication, Togashi felt that this personal aspect of his life would be a great influence on his work, particularly the manga's theme of a young boy searching for his father. [20] There have been several instances in which Togashi has apologized to readers in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump for low-quality artwork and promised to redraw portions of the chapters for their tankōbon (collected volume) releases. However, first-year girl Hayase Nagatoro - who is secretly head-over-heels in love with him - inadvertently discovers the manga, calls him "Senpai", and teases him to the point of crying. She frequents the Art Club room where he hangs out, and continues to bully him for his timid personality and otaku interests, sometimes in a sexually suggestive fashion, calling him lewd. Initially, Senpai really does not like Nagatoro at all, and desperately tries to stay as far away from her and her antics as he possibly can. But as she continues to push him to become more assertive, he slowly realizes he is also falling in love with her, and gradually comes out of his shell and involves himself in her life. Senpai meets Nagatoro's friends, Gamo, Yosshii and Sakura, who at first appear to be cruel and shallow high school girls who only seek to torment Senpai, but they catch on to Senpai and Nagatoro's oblivious mutual crush and they become supportive friends who scheme to bring the two closer together. The Art Club's semi-retired president Sana Sunomiya appears and tries to shut down the club, but after a contest challenge during the culture festival, allows it to continue. During the next school year, the president's younger cousin Hana Sunomiya enrolls in the high school and joins the Art Club, whereas Nagatoro joins the Judo Club. Hana understands what is happening between Senpai and Nagatoro, and makes her mission to help them. Characters[edit] Hayase Nagatoro (長瀞 早瀬, Nagatoro Hayase) / Miss Nagatoro (長瀞さん, Nagatoro-san) Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka[1] (Japanese); Kimberley Anne Campbell[6] (English) A first-year high school girl who enjoys teasing Senpai. Although it appears that she just wants to torture him, she is secretly head-over-heels in love with him, and becomes very hostile toward anyone else who tries to bully Senpai. Ch.
