light novel Kusuriya no Hitorigoto est publiée à l'origine depuis 2011 sur le site de publication Shōsetsuka ni narō. Elle est acquise par Shufunotomo qui la publie sous la forme d'un roman illustré par Megumi Matsuda et sorti le 26 septembre 2021 sous le label Ray Books (ISBN 9784072853795)[12]. Shufunotomo publie à nouveau l'œuvre, cette fois-ci sous la forme d'une série de light novel sous le label Hero Bunko à partir d'août 2014[jaLN 1].
