Perhaps as an extension of his manners and desire to project an image of sophistication, Yuujirou can be an excellent
company to anyone who has earned his respect or consideration. In
these instances, he has no problem getting along with the people he has acknowledged. He accepted Baki's request for a quiet dinner together, where despite Baki's resentment towards him, he admitted that he enjoyed the meal with Yuujirou immensely. He's also gone out for drinks with Doppo Orochi, possibly because Doppo gave him an exciting fight in the past and managed to survive. He also rejects the Kaiou title given to him by Kaiou Kaku by claiming that his feelings are enough. He later complemented Izou Motobe to Musashi by claiming Motobe fights for real and is ready to do anything to win while commenting on how Motobe was rewarded for his hard work by finally being able to face Musashi where Motobe could use all of his skills and moves.
Kaya begins bullying
Miyo until she learns Miyo is still engaged to Kiyoka. Elsewhere, Kiyoka visits the Saimoris and informs them they will receive none of the traditional benefits from Miyo marrying into a powerful family unless she receives a full apology. Kaya later briefly encounters Kiyoka and is struck by his beauty, unaware that he is Miyo's fiance. Yurie informs Kiyoka of the incident and encourages him to give Miyo his unconditional love. When Kiyoka invites Hana over, a servant Miyo was
close to as a child before she was unfairly dismissed by the Saimoris, Miyo is overjoyed to see her. She soon realizes Kiyoka must know her entire history, including her lack of spiritual talents, yet he nevertheless wants to marry her.
