As the other genin continued their pursuit, they found the remains of a clay creature, which Boruto recognised as the same thing that attacked Mitsuki's snake. Their group soon found a group of Konoha jōnin who were defeated by one of the gate attackers, Kokuyō. Later, Ippo went to the Roigal Hotel to attend Takamura's press conference with WBA middleweight champion Richard Bison. There, he met Mashiba and Sendō, having to stop their fighting. The next day, Ippo went to the Yokohama Arena to watch the matches with Aoki, Kimura, and Itagaki.
